Crystal Crystal Finishing Systems acquires Royal Finishing of River Falls, WI

Schofield, WI August 1, 2007:

Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc has acquired Royal Finishing, Inc of River Falls, WI.  Crystal has purchased the business and real estate assets of Royal Finishing Systems.  The transaction is effective as of this date.

This acquisition is the third such acquisition in the last twelve months and fifth expansion announcement during that period.  The three acquisitions include SAS Technologies of Chippewa Falls, the Plating Facilities of Cequent Performance Products in Schofield and now Royal Finishing of River Falls.  The other two expansion announcements are the Wausau Supply buildings on Bayberry in Schofield and the addition of a third aluminum extrusion press.

Crystal Crystal Finishing System’s Mark and Laurie Matthiae named Weston’s Citizens of the Year

Schofield, WI July 20, 2007:

Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc. Owners, Mark and Laurie Matthiae had been named “Citizens of the Year” by the Village of Weston at a ceremony on July 20th. Mr. and Mrs. Matthiae were honored for their support and involvement in local activities and growing the local economy.

“Mark & Laurie Matthiae simply define entrepreneurship. They took an idea they had while running a auto body shop, they nurtured the idea through painstaking research & determination and they created one of the state’s premier finishing, aluminum extrusion and coatings business”, said Vilas Machmueller, Village President.

Crystal Finishing Systems purchases a third Aluminum Extrusion Press

Schofield, WI February 13, 2007:

Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc has purchased a third aluminum extrusion press to support their growing customer base.  This press is a 4000 ton, 10” Sutton Extrusion Press.  This press will be located in the newly acquired Wausau Supply buildings.  Preparations have already begun at the site and components of the press will begin arriving in the next few weeks.

Crystal Finishing Systems enters into an agreement with Wausau Supply Company to acquire the Wausau Supply facilities on Bayberry Street in Schofield, WI.

Schofield, WI February 1, 2007:

Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc has acquired the buildings currently occupied by Wausau Supply at 4704 Bayberry Street located in Schofield, WI.  The transaction is effective as of this date.  Crystal Finishing is moving into approximately 100,000 of the 365,000 square foot property immediately and Wausau Supply will transition out of the balance of the building over a multi-year period.  This first space will house Crystal Finishing System’s newest aluminum extrusion press.

Crystal Finishing Systems was awarded the Marathon County Small Business of the year award for 2000.

High Performance Coating Division paint line additions

Crystal Finishing has installed new up-to-date paint booths as well as expanded the paint line to handle more volume and accommodate larger sizes.



Major warehouse expansion

With the addition of two new warehouse facilities and the joining of the two facilities under one roof, allows for extensive ware housing and storage of inventory, whether stock or customer finished goods.

Newest award

Mark Matthiae, president and owner of Crystal Finishing Systems in Weston was recently recognized with Wisconsin's SBA 2005 Small business Person of the Year Honorable Mention award. The award will be presented at the SBA/SCORE breakfast on May 20 at the Milwaukee Mariott West in Waukesha.                                                                          

 Environmental Health & Safety News: 

·     Our EHS Manager became President of the Marathon County Council of Safety (MCCS) in January 2005.

·     By the middle of 2006, Crystal Finishing will install a thermal oxidizer that will capture over 96% of all VOCs generated throughout our facility #1.
